Rates, Terms, and Conditions
Regular machine shop rate $60/hr
Full support requiring independent machinist
skills: unique parts from prints (prototype, one of a kind),
production development, programming, and design consultation.
Production shop rate $50/hr
This rate is available for machining, beta
testing, inspection, or technical communications work (video, web,
documentation) that qualifies
under the following conditions:

Scheduled in advance

Requires limited support (machine operator or technician skills)

Fully developed jobs ( proven and existing procedures, content,
scripting, fixturing, programming, tooling)
Pre-paid production shop rate $42.50/hr
This rate is for work that qualifies under the
production shop rate and is paid in advance. A new customer’s
initial job qualifies under this rate.
Consulting rate $75/hr
This rate is for custom design and engineering of
fixturing and parts and creation of original technical
communications items (video, web, documentation).
Quotes,
Estimates, etc.
Parts can be quoted on a per unit basis if
production has been fully developed (existing and proven fixturing,
programming, tooling). Anything else is going to be an
estimate and actual work will be charged time and materials at the
regular shop or consulting rates.
My prices reflect the following efficiencies:

Modest sized shop (900 sq ft)

No debt load (it’s all paid for!)

Late model but very well maintained machinery
and equipment

Passion for efficiency (continuous improvement)

Supplemental income from the TS-Aligner product line

A focus on efficient and productive work (and
an aversion to doing quotes and estimates)
Terms
Initial job for any customer must be pre-paid.
Net 30 on approved credit, 2% discount for net 10 payments.
Customers with past due balances must pre-pay orders until their
account is current. Materials and special tooling are not included
in the hourly rates - they will be billed at cost. Particularly
expensive or exotic materials may require an advance payment.
Customer supplied materials and tooling are welcome.
