Fifteen years designing
and manufacturing machinery alignment products has taught me a few
things about Metrology. It has also facilitated a rather well
equipped Metrology Lab.
-
Dedicated space
-
Climate controlled
-
Quality instruments
with NIST traceable certification
-
Dimensional
measurements to five micro-inches (0.1 micron)
-
Angular measurements
to within one half arc second
-
Data collection

While my work does not include the need for NVLAP accreditation, I
still maintain and use my instruments according to NIST
recommendations and industry accepted practices. My primary length
and angle standards have all been certified with standards which
have traceability to NIST. As with my machinery, prudent purchase of
late model instruments has enabled me assemble a Lab with
capabilities that many shops only dream of. This is where I
assemble, calibrate, and certify all of the
TS-Aligner products. I also verify the accuracy of unknown
instruments and provide a signed certificate indicating the results
of my analysis.
